Tonga Art Experience

On Tuesday 12 of November, two Tongan artists came into Community Five and helped us to improve our self portraits. Instead of the traditional realistic self portraits we know, they got us to use expression.

They introduced us to a new type of art called collage, where we stuck pieces of newspaper or magazines to our art to give it more detail. We added different colours to make it look like a real piece of art, and we were encouraged to mix up our colours, for example, a green face , or red eyes, and other colours like orange, purple, pink, white and green.

We would like to thank the artists for giving up their spare time to teach us some new art techniques, Ms Lane and Mr and Mrs Hamilton, for organising it.

Saxer Design

Hello and Kia ora, I’m the founder of Saxer Design – a small, experienced team based in New Zealand. My focus is on understanding your business goals and turning your ideas into a website that not only looks great but speaks clearly to your audience.

I craft visually striking, authentic websites that help grow your business or organisation. With over 25 years of experience across different cultures and industries, I bring a thoughtful mix of design, branding, and marketing expertise.

About 6 years ago, I switched from developing open-source websites to Squarespace and never looked back. My clients love it and can still optimise the sites with code and CSS.

Whether you're a business wanting to build stronger community connections, or a school or organisation looking to sharpen your message and boost your impact, I’m here to help you communicate with confidence and clarity.
