HBC Cricket 2024

On Thursday 7 of March we drove in cars to Victor Eaves Park in Orewa, enjoying the perfect weather for a day of cricket. With Emilie and Dara leading as captains the girls' team (WW Stars) showcased star power, while the boys' team (WW Hitters) demonstrated technique. Both teams had epic catches, they almost hit the ball out of the park and they showed exceptional sportsmanship. The boys' games were all very close, but they managed to win their final match.

While the girls started with a warm-up game and triumphed in the other two, advancing to the semi-finals. The boys' team secured 5th place! The girls' team tied for third!

Special thanks to the parents for driving us and to Miss Mitchell for organising the event.

About 6 years ago, I switched from developing open-source websites to Squarespace and never looked back. My clients love it and can still optimise the sites with code and CSS.
