C6 Production - Inside Out

Kahikatea recently presented their show, ‘Inside Out - Year 6 Edition’, to our school community.

Together, they told the story of Riley (played by Esme) as she approached her final year of primary school and navigated some typical (emotional) experiences, such as camp, Cross Country, and transitioning to Mahurangi College. The emotions inside Riley’s head: Joy (played by Caitlyn), Sadness (played by Jemima), Anger (played by Inoke), Disgust (played by Charlotte) and Fear (played by Roman) had a bit of a challenging time adjusting to these big events and changes, however, they eventually learned to work together.  All 84 students were involved in this production through singing, dancing, acting, or stage managing.

They certainly did us proud with their enthusiasm, professionalism, and team-work!

A huge thank you to the C5 Kahikatea teachers along with the parent helpers who did amazing work both on set and behind the scenes. Also to the students who worked hard remembering their lines and dance moves!
