C3 Rose & Flower Show

Last week Warkworth School continued the tradition of participating in the Warkworth Garden Club’s annual flower show.  Every learner in Tōtara, Year 3 community, designed an exhibit to suit the theme “Valentine’s Day: Things we love” by decorating a container and creating a floral art arrangement to illustrate their ideas. A descriptive sentence completed their art works. These were shortlisted by our VIP judges at school, and twenty works were transported to the Town Hall to be judged by the official flower show judges. The display prompted many admiring comments and nostalgic memories of school days. 

Our grateful thanks to Mrs Jane Schollum (Hopkins) for her work, inspiration and passion in facilitating this delightful event for the past few years.
